Viniterra

The winery is located in Mendoza, in the area of Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo which has a climate that permits the growing of a range of noble varieties but is known as the birthplace of the Argentine Malbec. With vineyards situated between 870 and 1100 metres above sea level, the fruit develops great complexity and finesse whilst still retaining both varietal and regional characteristics. Juan Carlos Chavero, the principal wine maker, has some of the most up to date equipment to help him take as little out of the fruit as possible when making the wine, this is not egotistical wine.

We are currently shipping the excellent Malbec's which stood out when tasted, with a view to listing the Viogner, Pinot Grigio and a selection of other reds early next year.

2005 Terra Malbec

A deep rich, full wine exhibiting coffee, damson and spice notes with a supple and richly balanced palate and finish.

2005 Malbec Select

Opaque to the core, and with leathery, herbal notes drifting through the more robust aromas of lether, coffee spice fig and blackberry, this is a concentrated but balanced wine with great finesse for such a rich character.
