James Grey - Account Manager

After 5 frustrating years in the acting world, James realised that the world wasn’t ready for his Hamlet.  Tired of leaving the scraps of his dignity at the door when auditioning for the next chicken-sauce-in-a-jar advert, James decided to turn to the bottle.

Resurfacing as a broker at Fine & Rare Wines Ltd, James developed an in-depth knowledge of Bordeaux and other collectable wines, as well as meeting his future wife Laura.

Keen to get out from behind the desk, James joined Paragon Vintners and rose to become their London Sales Manager.  Through also working for Thorman Hunt and Jascots, James has built up a wealth of contacts and experience across London and the South of England.  

Another country boy, when not at work, James is a keen beater with his Spaniel Duffy, occasional shot and also an enthusiastic sailor as well as weekend vineyard-hand at his father-in-law’s Ancre Hill Vineyard in Wales.
