This small estate was founded in 1982 by a former public relations man who fell in love with the vines and wines of Chablis. His wines are well below the radar screen of most wine drinkers, which is surprising, since you'd think a P.R. chap would be good at publicising his own wines!
The estate comprises of 15.5 hectares of vines. 1.5 in the Côte de Lechet, 4 in Petit Chablis, about 0.5 of a hectare in Chablis, 1 hectare of '1er Cru' Beauroy and 8.5 of '1er Cru' Vau de Vey. The wines are now made by the Brocard family, although the estate has kept its unique identity and character.
Crisp and restrained, showing mineral and English apple qualities on the palate and a clean refreshing finish.
Hint of cream and hazelnut on the nose with a broad, yet racy acidity and full nutty, aple fruit on the palate. Classic ‘Beauroy’ style.
