Bodegas Utielanas was founded in 1927 and produces wines from the now up and coming Utiel-Requena DO located close to Valencia in South East Spain. With over 1700 growers contributing to the co-operative, the quality of fruit is closely monitored with emphasis being placed on quality rather that quantity. After tireless work that began in the late 90's to change the ethos of most of the growers this revolution is complete and thanks to a modern and clean winemaking facility and a clear view of the world wine markets, Bodegas Utielanas has been able to create amazing quality from their exceptional vineyard stock.
We are proud to represent these wines as we feel they strongly represent the 'New Wave' of wines originating from Spain that are so often promised but so seldom delivered. The range is made up of wines using local varieties that reflect the character of the region and bring a new and interesting style to the UK market.
