Richard Boote - Sales Director
Richard describes himself as a ‘keen amateur who finally turned pro’. A chance bottle of Les Forts de Latour 1983 (the bottle has been kept for posterity) in his university days opened his eyes (and taste buds) to a whole new world and he discovered there was more to wine than Jacob’s Creek. With the floodgates fully open he joined the trade with Corney & Barrow and managed their Notting Hill emporium. He was exposed to many of France’s finest wines – in those days New World wines were a still filed under ‘former colonies’!
In 2001 he joined Enotria Winecellars working with restaurants and hotels in Central London and managed the London sales team. Their extensive Italian portfolio gave opportunities to visit many of top Italian wine producing regions.
With an offer to join an exciting new project (he has never been able to resist a good thing!) Richard joined the fledging New Generation Wines in early 2006 and has been deeply involved in growing the sales as well as the compelling portfolio.
