Hamish Young - Commercial Director

After a restaurant career that started sweeping the floors at the (sadly now defunct) Rock Garden in Covent Garden and culminated in working for the Harvey Nichols Group as a sommelier and manager, Hamish parlayed his fourth place in the UK Sommelier of the Year Competition into a job at Berkmann Wine Cellars where his customers ranged from fish-and-chip shops to multinational supermarket groups.

He then spent some time working for Spanish producer Bodegas Unidas until the call from James Booth to join the fledgling crew of the good ship New Generation Wines.

Hamish jumped at the chance to sign on for a company with little wine and fewer customers figuring that at least the work-load would be light – how wrong he was.
